This holiday season, sasi’s very own Kevin has been busy doing something truly special—baking memories.
For the past two years, Kevin has been receiving support from sasi, and during that time he’s embarked on a journey of building new routines, relationships, and traditions. When he shared how much he missed the familiar comforts of his former home, especially the joy of spending time in the kitchen, our team rallied around him to nurture one of his favorite passions: baking.
With encouragement from sasi staff, Kevin began exploring new recipes from scratch, creating everything from gingersnap cutouts to chocolate chip cookies and even homemade pies. What began as a hobby quickly blossomed into a true love for baking, and sasi employees took notice.
To help capture this growing passion, Mark Cordz partnered with Kevin to create a personalized recipe scrapbook—complete with photos, stories, and the memories behind each baked treat. This project not only showcases his culinary creations but also celebrates the progress he’s made and the joy he’s discovered along the way.
Thanks to the dedication, compassion, and creativity of our staff, Kevin has rediscovered a piece of home through baking. But he was able to build something even sweeter: confidence, connection, and a new set of cherished memories.
