Mr. Annunziato began his professional career in 1974 after receiving his bachelor of science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Gannon College in Erie, Pennsylvania.
His early employment experience included inpatient mental health and senior services. His career path turned to intellectual and developmental disabilities in 1978 when he was hired as a Personal Adjustment Trainer/Team Leader at Suburban Adult Services, Inc. He went on to receive a master’s degree in special education from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and has held various administrative positions at the agency for over 40 years. In 2012, he took over the position of President and CEO where he continues to develop new opportunities for individuals with special needs.
In 2016, Mr. Annunziato completed a successful merger with the Claddagh Commission and rebranded the merged entity under the DBA “sasi.” The merger resulted in 50 percent overall growth and expansion of services throughout all of southern Erie, northern Cattaraugus, and Wyoming counties.
Over the years, Mr. Annunziato has been active in various civic and service organizations where he has served in leadership rolls and executive board positions. He currently serves as Vice President of the Developmental Disabilities Alliance of WNY and sits on the board of PCSWNY 501(c)(3), PCSWNY, LLC and Person Centered Services Holding Company, LLC.
