Extended Employment Programs offer vocational training and employment opportunities for adults at our locations in Sardinia, East Aurora and West Seneca. Consumers in these employment centers work on contracts producing various goods for government agencies and private industry.

Pre-Vocational Programs offer vocational training and employment opportunities for adults at our locations in Sardinia, East Aurora and West Seneca. Consumers in these employment centers work on contracts producing various goods for government agencies and private industry. Pre-Vocational Programs provide individuals with services designed to assist them with "the soft skills needed to be successfully employed. These may include how to follow directions, job safety, paying attention to the assigned task, problem-solving and social skills.

Supported Employment Program provides community-based, competitive employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. Job coaches work with individuals in areas such as job readiness, placement and retention, offering specialized support that a consumer may need in order to be successfully employed in individual placements. "Partners in Industry" at Harlequin Distribution Center, Signature Design, Fairview Box Company and Advantage Packaging bring together persons with and without disabilities working side by side in factory settings.

School Transition Services through direct contracts with school districts, SASi provides diagnostic vocational evaluations, work study programs and a unique school to work transition service which includes job readiness training, career assessments, job shadowing, internships, job coaching and placement services.

SAGE (Suburban Adult General Enterprise) is a division of SASi that provides competitive employment opportunities in the janitorial field for individuals with disabilities.

Welfare to Work Program offers job training, placement and retention services for welfare recipients under the Welfare to Work Program in conjunction with the New York State Department of Labor, and the Erie and Wyoming County Departments of Social Services.

VESID Services through referrals provides diagnostic vocational evaluations, work adjustment training, direct job placement and intensive supported employment services.

Day Program Services

Day Habilitation offers programs designed to fit an individual's specific needs, rather than simply placing the person in an existing program. These services promote integration of the individual into the community by helping them acquire new skills, meet new friends and pursue their own specific areas of interest.

SASi Senior Day Program serves both developmentally disabled and not-disabled senior citizens. Participants socialize, volunteer, and enjoy activities typical for those who are living out their 'golden years'.

Residential Services

SASi Residential Program provides opportunities for independent living in a group home setting. Individuals with various disabilities share a residence in a warm, friendly "home style" environment, sharing various chores and responsibilities under staff guidance and supervision.

Clinical Services

The Article 16 Clinic offers adults and children with developmental disabilities a variety of clinical services. Services include psychology, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and rehabilitation counseling.

Clinical Support Services are also provided in the residential and day habilitation programs. Services include nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy and behavior management.

High Hurdles therapeutic riding offers cognitively, emotionally and physically challenged individuals a unique opportunity for growth and development. Instructor, student, horse and volunteers work together to meet challenging yet attainable horsemanship goals. Learning to care for and about horses while mastering riding skills is what High Hurdles is all about.

Family Support Services

Service Coordination provides case management and referral services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Personalized service planning is designed to cover all areas of life, including living, working, medical and social needs.

Recreation/Respite Services provide caregivers and families caring for individuals with developmental disabilities an opportunity to take a break and take care of business, go shopping, visit with friends or pursue other interests, while their loved ones enjoy activities such as bowling, dancing, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities.

Overnight Respite provides disabled individuals with opportunities for overnight stay with host families, meeting new friends and enjoying various leisure activities with their hosts.

At Home Residential Habilitation (“Res Hab”) is designed to provide in-home support services to individuals who are developmentally disabled. Res Hab is a program that assists individuals living in the community, alone or with family in developing skills of daily living, personal grooming, household chores and social skills necessary to enable a person to reach their highest level of independence. Trained agency Staff work one-on-one providing training, education and assistance, encouraging individuals to reach their highest potential.
