The sasi Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce three generous funding awards for the first quarter of 2018, totaling more than $20,000.
The Board approved a $12,000 award for a driveway and parking lot at two of sasi’s IRAs in Sardinia. The lot is frequently used to board vehicles, exit for fire drills, and conduct daily business, and currently has several potholes and dips. This funding will allow our agency to create a safer, trip-free environment for individuals and staff at both locations.
A $4,700 award was approved for the purpose of installing an awning on the back deck of sasi’s Foxford IRA. Currently, there is no sun coverage, and the residents at the house would like to utilize the deck more often in the summer months. This funding will help to create a shaded, more comfortable space for them to enjoy the outdoors.
Lastly, the Board also approved a $3,750 award for a custom development for the Article 16 Clinic electronic health records. This funding will make the system more streamlined throughout all agency departments, simplifying documentation and billing processes, and in turn, reducing in the likelihood of errors and other corporate compliance issues.
sasi’s Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer business and community leaders that work to secure the agency’s future as a provider of services to thousands of families in need.
