Recently, as a part of Citi’s Global Community Day, volunteers from Citibank in Buffalo gave sasi’s West Seneca building a much needed facelift.
This year, the Citi volunteers scraped and painted the back of the building and the picnic tables, which follows their work last year painting the front and sides of the building.
“Citi celebrates its annual Global Community day in June with more than 100,000 Citi volunteers in more than 450 cities spanning 90 countries and territories engaged in service activities in their local communities. On Global Community Day, Citi colleagues, alumni, clients, family and friends volunteer at more than 1,400 service projects that help address a range of community needs, from feeding the hungry to revitalizing schools for a better learning environment to preparing young people for jobs,” said Robin L. Wolfgang, Citi Buffalo.
“Citi Buffalo Employees are pleased to partner with Suburban Adult Services to help them provide meaningful services and support to individuals with disabilities and special needs. The real impact on this Global Community day is local. Citi hopes to enable progress by making our community stronger.”
Citi has donated their time and effort to sasi on previous Global Community Days, and assisted with other projects including: landscaping, building new garden boxes, painting doors and trim on houses, staining picnic tables, and much more.
